Longport's ultrasound imaging technology has been developed to image the skin and underlying few centimetres of soft tissue. This region is directly impacted by many diseases, conditions and injuries and can reflect the status of what are normally considered deeper or whole body conditions.
In addition to the applications and markets highlighted in this section Longport's technology has also been used in various other applications including burn assessment, superficial musculoskeletal imaging, veterinary applications, studies investigating the relationship between skin characteristics and osteoporosis / fracture occurrence and in the assessment of medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
